In short, you absolutely made our night. From keeping my 84yr old Papa dancing all night, to allowing my 18 yr old brother to jam with you – you guys really do cater for all ages! Even my husband who “doesn’t do dancing”, was on the floor all night.
So, my advice to all those brides to be is – forget the flowers, forget the favours, forget the cake, just book the band! If you want a night that your guests will talk about for weeks, months, years to come – book Ernest!!!

There is nothing ‘Wedding band’ about the lads in ERNEST. It’s as if Iggy Pop, Barry White, Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones’ DNA got tossed into a jam session and the resulting trio were able to play virtually any musical style on the planet. I had heard they were the best band in Scotland. Now i’m convinced it’s the world! I don’t think I’ve ever heard a live set as good as the guys played at my wedding. My guests were completely BLOWN AWAY. So much so, that a group of my friends from L.A stayed on after the wedding, trying to catch the boys next gig in Glasgow.
You can have the traditional, ruffled tux, pomade-impersonators ruining nuptial bliss or you can have ERNEST, kicking ass and reminding you that your wedding day should be the biggest reason there is to PARTY!

Hi Guys, A simple thank you does not seem enough for delivering a stunning set at our wedding reception, musically you are on another planet compared to every other ‘wedding band’ out there!! If you are considering anyone other than Ernest as your wedding band then please think again, these guys are quite simply the best at what they do. A large number of guests at our reception definitely come under the ‘drinkers not dancers’ category but every one of them was up jigging on more than one occasion and we have lost count of the number of times we overheard comments praising the choice of songs, the quality of musicianship and the ability to get people on the floor. The cover you did of our 1st dance song will always be a standout moment in our lives as you took our fav song and made it better than we ever thought it could be. Thank you again for putting the musical cherry on top of our cake!! All the best.

I’m sorry this has taken so long but I just wanted to send an email to say a huge thank you for the AMAZING set you played at our wedding. We had heard many good reports but on the night you exceeded our expectations by a long way. Use Somebody is a very special song to us and we are big KOL fans so usually cringe at covers but you played it so well and we loved it. From the 2nd song onward the dance floor was jumping with such a good mix of songs and no cheesy covers. Loved that you got my sister, who is a terrible singer, up to help sing Lady Gaga, and getting the crowd so involved. I found my husband dancing away to himself at one stage in the night, I asked if he was ok and he replied ‘this band is awesome, I’d pay to go and see them’. I reminded him we had payed for everyone to hear you, haha! Booking you as our wedding band was one of the best decisions we made about the day so I cannot thank you enough and we will certainly recommend you in the future.

I hired Ernest for my wedding at Airth Castle on the 26th June and they were 1st class. The band themselves were fantastic and so friendly and the dance floor was completely full when they played the 3rd song (the 1st & 2nd songs were only the wedding party). I knew when I heard them play the first line of Dakota by the Stereophonics in Arta that I could stop looking, as they were exactly what I was looking for.
My wedding day was not without its hiccups! 20 minutes into the reception we had a power cut, not just Airth Castle but the entire village – it was all I needed! But the lead singer William was amazing! He had a spare acoustic guitar and came on to the middle of the dance floor and got everyone up for a sing song. He was superb and my words cannot express the gratitude to him. All the guests raved about the band saying they were the best band they’d ever heard and for William to do the acoustic bit in the middle, well, it takes a certain type of person to do that! I just want to say a heart-felt thanks to Ernest and in particular William.
They totally made the night and I am now glad we had the power cut as it was a real talking point and everyone loved Ernest even more.
Without a shadow of a doubt, they were well worth every penny and the best wedding band I have ever heard. If I ever get married again, I’ll be sure to pick them ;o)

Guys, Karen and I just wanted to offer our thanks and appreciation to you for making our wedding reception such a great occasion for our families and friends. We were pretty nervous about getting the choice of band wrong, as it can make such a difference to the night. We knew straight away we’d made the right choice but we were still blown away on the night by how good you were. Folks are still raving about your set – both the quality and the selection of songs. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much and it’s the first time I’ve heard chanting for an encore at a wedding! I’d highly recommend you to anybody; choosing your wedding band is easy – pick Ernest! Then your hardest choice is picking the first song. Personally we couldn’t get “Caledonia” out of our head for days and days!

They were prompt and set up with minimal disturbance to the reception but above all, they instictively tapped into the vibe of the party and delivered an amazingly apt playlist. EVERY guest has commented on Ernest’s performance, most saying they have never heard such an awesome sound at a wedding reception. Hi Guys, Thanks for an amazing night! We knew you would good but didn’t expect to be still talking about you for the 2 weeks we spent on honeymoon. The guests were all really impressed. We had been worried with the bar being in another room that it would be a struggle to get my mates away from the bar, but not only did you get them through, you managed to get them to dance. Something I’ve never seen before and after seeing them hopefully never again! Hey Jude at the end of the night was a real highlight along with the Oasis covers you did for us.
